(Amicale des collectionneurs de figurines historiques du Centre Loire)

Our association was founded in 1958 by a small group of passionate collectors of militaria from the region of Orleans. Initially focused around that region, we quickly extended our scope. Membership is currently open to anyone in France or abroad. (Applying for membership)

Our goal is to:

"facilitate for our members the research of documents related to the study of historical costumes, uniforms and equipment of all countries and thus propagate knowledge about military or civilian costume throughout the ages. "

In addition to its quarterly bulletin, LE BRIQUET publishes special issues, uniform plates - each devoted to various topics combining historical facts with the study of uniforms or heraldry. These publications are available for sale at the various shows where the association is present as well as directly from us by mail order.

Through its quarterly bulletin, LE BRIQUET supplies its members with quality information. The bulletin comprises of in-depth studies on the uniform of both French and Non-French armies of all periods. On average its size is 50 pages with 8 plates, 4 being in colour.

The preferred period of study for our members, and therefore well covered by our bulletin is the Napoleonic period, but the 17th/18th century, as well as other periods are also much in favor. Finally, our roots being in the city of Joan of Arc, our interest is also devoted to the middle-ages and 6 of our Special issues offer exclusive in-depth documentation on little-known heraldry of that period .

All along our 40 years of existence, we have been able, thanks to the passion of our members, to attract some of the best military artists and researchers. We invite you to proceed through our catalogue and discover our publications.

In the near future, we wish to bring more information into this site. Perhaps we will have the pleasure to welcome you as a member and share our common passion : briquet@histofig.com . We meet every month in Orleans in our locale to discuss model figures, militaria - dates are indicated in the bulletin and at these occasions, the library is accessible to all.
